Angelica Panganiban is a Filipino-American actress model TV host and comedian. Her disease was a severe strain of the strep bacteria. The young lady desperately required life-saving medical intervention and was put on ECMO life-support at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Her condition became severe and she experienced multiple organ failure, including her kidneys which did not fully recover. It was her new normal to have peritoneal and then hemodialysis. Her return home was finally made after 80 days of hospitalization, from the point where she was near death to the long road back to healthy. Her life had been forever altered. After a year and a half of dialysis, Angelica was ready to undergo the biggest surgery she had ever undergone- her kidney transplant. It was her own mother who would donate the kidney. In September 2013, Angelica and her mom underwent a successful kidney transplantation surgery at two amazing hospitals located right across from one another- the University Hospital of Memory and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale pursued her dream to become a famous person from the beginning.
